Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, and professionally referred to under the surname Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. She dropped her debut EP with the label on October 21st, 2016, titled Pho. This is when she started to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album.
